The local dishes of Hokkaido
Yakizakana. Yakizakana is grilled fish. Many varieties of fish are enjoyed in this way. This fish is atka mackerel. Atka mackerel is very popular fish in Hokkaido.

Wafuu spaghetti
Wafuu spaghetti is a Japanese style pasta. This spaghetti was seasoned soy sauce, mentsuyu (a Japanese soup base), salt and pepper and then topped with toasted seaweed and shiso (perilla).

Baked chicken with maitake mush-room
Mix the soy sauce marinated chicken breast, and maitake mush-room and leek with olive oil. Then bake those for 20 to 30 minutes or until chicken is browned well. Sorry!!! This chicken was not baked enough.

Grilled squid
Mix the soy sauce, mirin, sliced garlic and rub into
the squid and leave to marinate for a minimum of one hours in the
fridge. And then quickly grilled to tender perfection.

'Blue pond' is in Hokkaido, Japan where I live. This pond was adopted the wallpaper for apple inc this year. I went to there yesterday. Really beautiful !!!!!

Cold Chinese noodles
Chinese noodles chilled in cold water and topped with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, hams and paper-thin omelet etc... Put some sauce over the noodles before eating. Usually I use sauce that is sold in a bottle.
